We’re looking for a Grant Writer to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You’ll play a key role in identifying, developing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for various programmes and initiatives. This is a fully remote position perfect for someone with strong writing skills and attention to detail.
What you’ll do:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and other funding organisations
Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry
Collaborate with colleagues to gather programme data and identify funding needs
Maintain a grants calendar and track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
Prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
Assist in developing budgets and supporting documentation for proposals
Maintain organised records of all grant activities
Skills/background needed:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development (or willingness to learn)
Strong written communication and storytelling skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Comfort using Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with video conferencing tools like Zoom
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in nonprofit administration or related field
Experience working in higher education
Experience with grant management systems or donor databases
