About This Role
We’re looking for a Grant Writer to join our development team. In this role, you’ll write funding proposals, letters of intent, and donor reports that help secure resources for meaningful work. You’ll work closely with program, finance, and leadership teams to tell our organisation’s story compellingly and accurately to funders.
This is a fully remote position perfect for someone who loves writing, has strong attention to detail, and wants to support mission-driven work from home.
What You’ll Do
• Write proposals, letters of intent, and donor reports (approximately one submission per week)
• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and donors
• Prepare and submit proposals according to each funder’s specific guidelines
• Manage grant timelines and track submission deadlines
• Work with program and finance teams to gather data, stories, and supporting materials for proposals
• Develop and maintain a consistent voice and brand in all written communications
• Follow up with funders to provide additional information as needed
• Maintain grant calendars and manage common grant attachments
• Coordinate with colleagues and support broader team goals
Skills & Background Needed
• Demonstrated experience writing successful fundraising proposals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with foundation and corporate fundraising
• Familiarity with a CRM system or database (or willingness to learn)
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
