IT Support Technician – On-Site (Entry Level, Full Time, 12-Month Contract)

We’re looking for a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team on a full-time, 12-month contract basis. You’ll provide essential technical support to end-users, maintain IT infrastructure, and help keep systems running smoothly. What you’ll be doing:

This role involves a mix of customer-facing support and technical maintenance work:

Responding to support requests and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Configuring, installing, and supporting computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, and other peripherals
Supporting Windows and Mac operating systems
Managing support tickets and tracking issues through to resolution
Maintaining equipment inventory and ordering supplies when needed
Preparing computers for deployment using standard imaging tools
Handling new employee setup and offboarding processes
Basic network troubleshooting for local area network (LAN) and WiFi connections
Supporting cloud-based productivity tools and Microsoft Office applications
Providing end-user training on IT topics as needed
Coordinating with vendors on warranty and technical matters
On-site visits to customer locations (typically within 24-48 hours of a request)
Documenting technical work and maintaining records
Attending training and professional development as required

What you’ll bring:

You don’t need prior experience, but the following background is helpful:

1–3 years of help desk or technical support experience (in any environment)
Hands-on experience supporting Windows and/or Mac computers
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, email systems, and web conferencing tools
Ability to use a ticketing system to track and manage work
Basic understanding of network concepts and connectivity troubleshooting
Strong customer service skills and a helpful attitude
Comfortable with hands-on technical work and troubleshooting
Valid driver’s license (required for on-site visits)
Ability to pass a background check

Nice-to-have skills:

IT certifications such as A+, CompTIA Network+, or similar
Experience with remote desktop support tools
Familiarity with user account management and permissions
Basic video conferencing and audio-visual support knowledge
Understanding of VoIP phone systems

Physical and schedule requirements:

This is a full-time, on-site position. You’ll spend time at a workplace location and travel to customer sites as needed. The role involves:

Regular computer work (typing, mouse use)
Occasional use of hand tools and power tools
Standing, walking, reaching, and bending as needed
Lifting equipment up to 75 pounds
Availability for emergency support outside standard hours (weekends, holidays, evenings) when systems experience outages
Occasional travel to other locations for training and projects

Location:
