Junior Content Creator – Short-Form Video Remote

Contract length: Part-time, 15–20 hours per week. Initial paid trial period.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Location: Fully remote – work from home.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands short-form video content and internet culture. This role involves creating authentic, personality-driven content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

You’ll work with the team to develop content ideas, write scripts and hooks, coordinate with editors, and track what resonates with audiences. No fancy production skills required – we prioritize genuine ideas and storytelling over polished graphics.

What You’ll Do

1. Find Content Ideas

Research where your audience spends time online. Look for trending topics, common questions, interesting stories, and video formats that work. Your goal is to understand what’s working and why – not to copy others, but to learn from what resonates.

2. Turn Ideas Into Content

Each week, you’ll help develop short-form video content including concepts, hooks, scripts, captions, and dialogue examples. You don’t need to edit videos yourself – we have an editor for that. Your job is to figure out what should be made, how it should feel, and why people would want to watch it.

3. Keep Content Moving

Stay organized throughout the content pipeline. Track what’s being created, what’s waiting on the editor, what’s ready to post, and what’s already live. You’ll help ensure ideas reach completion without losing momentum.

4. Find Creators to Collaborate With

Research and identify creators whose audiences align with what we’re doing. Build lists of potential collaborators, reach out via direct message or email, and help coordinate partnerships. Smaller creators with strong connections to their audiences are often more valuable than large accounts.

5. Learn What Actually Works

Monitor how content performs beyond just view counts. Notice patterns in clicks, sign-ups, and user engagement. Help identify what’s working so we can do more of it, and what isn’t so we can adjust quickly.

A Typical Week

You may research trends and conversations, bring 10+ strong content ideas to the team, develop 5–10 scripts or ready-to-create video concepts, find reference videos for the editor, track videos through production, find and reach out to 10–25 potential creator collaborators, monitor audience responses for new ideas, test new content or growth approaches, and share updates on what worked and what to try next.

Each week includes a single video call with the team to discuss results, review new ideas, and decide what to test next. It’s a working conversation, not a formal presentation.

You Might Be Perfect for This If…

You actively use short-form video platforms. You understand internet culture and can spot when content feels authentic versus like an ad. You naturally notice why certain videos work. You can write the way real people actually talk. You’re comfortable with AI tools like ChatGPT. You’re curious and willing to test ideas. You can take a direction and run with it without needing every step explained.

This role welcomes college students, recent graduates, freelancers, creators, and early-career applicants. You don’t need a corporate marketing background – show us you understand content and have good instincts.

This Probably Isn’t for You If…

Your experience is mainly in branded graphics, corporate social media posts, or highly produced advertisements. You don’t personally use platforms like TikTok. You need every assignment explained step-by-step. You think every video needs to look polished and branded. You only focus on follower counts and likes without thinking about genuine engagement.

Familiarity with platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts. Comfort with AI tools. Organizational skills to manage multiple content projects. Basic research and outreach abilities.

No prior professional experience required. Full training and support provided.
