Role: Food Product Order Writer & Inventory Coordinator
We’re looking for an organised, detail-minded individual to join our team in a part-time role focused on ordering, inventory management, and product replenishment. You’ll work with our food preparation team to ensure smooth operations, manage stock levels, and support our customers with special orders and product knowledge. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training and support.
What you’ll do:
• Process and monitor purchase orders accurately and on time
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
• Track spoilage and work to minimise waste and shrinkage
• Complete required worksheets (inventory, temperature checks, stock rotation)
• Assist with food preparation and counter service when scheduled
• Communicate with kitchen staff and team leaders about ordering needs
• Oversee customer special order procedures
• Help create promotional displays and maintain product standards
• Support inventory counts and financial targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned
• Report any safety concerns immediately
• Arrive on time and attend all required training and meetings
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
• Basic maths and numeracy skills
• Comfort using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow procedures and manage your time effectively
• Willingness to learn about products and nutritional information
• Customer service mindset and professional manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Flexible availability including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable standing and walking for 6–8 hours per shift
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach as needed
• Comfortable working in wet and dry environments
• Able to work in varying temperatures
• Willingness to use tools and equipment safely (including knives, box cutters, and machinery)
• May occasionally need to use ladders
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Part Time
