About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic junior content writer to join our communications team. You’ll work on developing compelling written materials, managing media relationships, and supporting client communication strategies. This is a hands-on role where you’ll grow your skills in crafting press releases, media pitches, and strategic communications content.
You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you’ll learn from experienced team members and contribute to real client projects from day one. Full training will be provided.
What you’ll do
• Write and edit press releases, media pitches, biographies, and other communications materials
• Support day-to-day client communication and relationship management
• Develop and pitch compelling stories to journalists and media contacts
• Monitor industry news, trends and client-related topics
• Assist with social media monitoring and strategy across client accounts
• Support event planning and client meetings as needed
• Contribute ideas to creative and strategic communications initiatives
What we’re looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable writing in a clear, professional style for various audiences
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing concepts
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and proofreading ability
• Comfortable learning new tools and software quickly
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Docs and basic spreadsheet tools
Nice to have
• Any previous experience in a communications or media role
• Familiarity with AP style writing
• Experience with Canva or basic design tools
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client events
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent role
Work schedule: Hybrid – you’ll work in-office two days per week and remotely three days per week. This role is based locally and requires occasional in-person attendance.
