We’re looking for a Grant Writer to help identify, develop, and submit grant proposals that secure funding for programs and institutional initiatives. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) perfect for someone with strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Roles: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and funding organizations; write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry; collaborate with team members to gather program data and funding needs; maintain a grants calendar and track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements; prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with funder guidelines; assist in developing budgets and supporting documentation for proposals; maintain organized records of all grant activities.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
Skills/background needed: Strong written communication and storytelling skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines; high level of organization and attention to detail; experience with grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development is a plus, but full training will be provided. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience working in higher education or nonprofit environments is helpful but not required. Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Zoom, and basic digital tools.
Location: Work from home. Fully remote position.
You’ll need a computer and reliable internet connection. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is expected. Experience with Zoom and other digital collaboration tools is helpful.
