About the role
As a Grant Writer, you’ll develop competitive grant applications for public funding programmes, working with a mission-driven team to help innovators secure the funding they need. You’ll partner with clients to refine project ideas and build compelling proposals that reflect strong funding strategy. This is a fast-paced, fully remote position where strong writers who consistently deliver quality work have opportunities to grow into senior roles.
Key responsibilities
• Work with team members across grants management to guide proposals through development: from project design through to final submission
• Manage multiple proposal projects at once, keeping quality high while meeting tight deadlines
• Draft technical narratives, work plans, budget justifications, letters of commitment, and other key proposal documents for public funding programmes
• Research external sources and gather internal data to create strong proposal content
• Act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping refine project scope, business approach, and overall positioning before writing begins
• Work with external partners and stakeholders to support proposal development
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
• Fluent in English with a clear, compelling writing style and strong grammar
• Knowledge of public funding programmes and experience writing grant proposals
• Interest in climate solutions and a mission-driven mindset
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, and other standard writing and collaboration tools
• Strong research skills and ability to work from peer-reviewed sources
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work fully remote with flexible timezone coverage
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with internal teams and external clients
Nice to have:
• Graduate degree in a scientific or technical field
• Multi-lingual writing ability
• Project management certification or background
