We’re looking for an entry-level writer to help develop grant proposals and identify funding opportunities for organizations. No prior grant writing experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed in this role.
About the Role
You’ll work on several key areas:
Research & Opportunity Identification
Learn to research and evaluate funding opportunities from government sources. You’ll help track deadlines, analyze eligibility requirements, and communicate important information to team leaders. We’ll teach you how to spot opportunities that align with organizational goals.
Proposal Writing & Development
Assist with writing grant proposals from start to finish. You’ll learn to create clear, persuasive narratives that explain program goals and outcomes. You’ll work with different teams to gather information, organize it logically, and present it in a way that funders will understand and support. Training will be provided on how to write for different audiences and funding requirements.
Project Management & Organization
Help manage proposal timelines and keep track of all submission requirements. You’ll learn to coordinate with multiple teams, ensure nothing is missed, and submit work on schedule. Attention to detail is important, and we’ll show you systems to stay organized.
Data & Storytelling
Learn to work with program data, community information, and evaluation results. You’ll help translate numbers and research into compelling narratives that show impact. No statistics or data background required—we’ll train you as you go.
Skills/background needed: Strong writing ability, organized approach to work, willingness to learn, ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and comfort working collaboratively with different teams. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; experience in nonprofit work, communications, or related fields is helpful but not required. We welcome candidates with little to no grant writing experience.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent position.
