Position: Junior Security Content Writer

We’re looking for a Junior Security Content Writer to join our growing team. In this fully remote role, you’ll work on developing security detection content, automation logic, and documentation to help security teams protect their systems more effectively. You’ll collaborate with experienced team members and clients to create clear, technical content that makes complex security concepts understandable and actionable.
What You’ll Do:
• Write and document detection rules and security automation content
• Create technical guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures
• Research security threats and attack methods to inform content development
• Develop queries and signatures to improve security detection capabilities
• Assist in testing and refining detection logic with clients
• Collaborate with team members to identify and document reusable security content
• Support incident response documentation and process development
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to security research and threat analysis content
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – you can explain complex technical ideas clearly
• Interest in security operations, threat analysis, or detection engineering
• Familiarity with security concepts such as log analysis, malware detection, and network monitoring
• Basic experience with scripting languages like Python or similar
• Comfort learning new tools and platforms quickly
• Ability to work independently and take direction in a remote team environment
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Willingness to collaborate and learn from more experienced team members
Nice to Have:
• Any background in IT support, cybersecurity, or systems administration
• Experience with query languages or data analysis tools
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git
• Relevant security certifications or formal education in computer science or cybersecurity
Skills/background needed:
