Junior Software Documentation Writer – Remote, No Experience Necessary

Roles: We are looking for a beginner-friendly documentation writer to join our fully remote documentation team. You will create clear user guides, installation guides, and implementation guides for software products, helping both technical and non-technical readers understand how things work.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full time, work from home.

Skills/background needed:

No prior experience required – full training is provided. A college degree in technical writing or a related field is a plus but not essential. You should be comfortable writing clearly, organizing information, and working with team members to gather details about products. Basic familiarity with word processing and web page editing is helpful. We welcome self-motivated people who can work independently and stay flexible as priorities change.

You will work with engineers, quality assurance staff, product managers, and marketing colleagues to understand product features, define project scope, organize information, and complete writing assignments to departmental standards. You will collaborate with documentation, video, and training teams, review content with peers to keep it accurate and readable, and guide drafts through review while keeping approvals on track. Content delivered with care helps build customer confidence and satisfaction.

Location: Remote work worldwide (United States preferred)
