About this role:
Are you passionate about teaching and eager to share your knowledge with young learners? We’re looking for an enthusiastic STEAM Instructor to lead engaging after-school enrichment courses. This is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience in a supportive, creative environment where you’ll inspire students to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
You’ll work with students in grades K-8, delivering hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. No prior teaching experience is required—we provide full training and support to help you succeed.
What you’ll do:
- Lead engaging STEAM activities including coding, robotics, creative arts, game design, and digital media
- Teach foundational concepts and help each student progress at their own pace
- Create a positive, collaborative classroom environment that encourages teamwork and mutual respect
- Manage class activities effectively and ensure student safety and engagement
Skills/background needed:
- Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and working with young people
- Basic knowledge of STEM or arts subjects (coaching or teaching experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students aged 5-14
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license or state ID
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to pass a background check
- Openness to additional training as needed
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Part-time, ongoing
Availability required: Monday to Friday, afternoon sessions
Location: Local positions available.
