Overview
Launch your career as a Technical Writer, where you’ll help transform complex concepts into clear, accurate, and professional documentation. You’ll collaborate with team members across engineering, content creation, and quality assurance to refine technical content, ensure consistency, and publish materials that meet high standards for clarity, accuracy, and visual effectiveness. You’ll gain hands-on experience editing and developing documentation, designing graphics and layouts, and using industry-standard publishing tools to prepare content for release.
What You’ll Do
• Write, edit, and proofread clear, accurate technical documentation
• Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand text and visuals
• Use publishing tools including Microsoft Office, PDF software, and design applications to create and update materials
• Organize content, manage document structures, and support documentation workflows
• Collaborate with team members to verify accuracy and meet project deadlines
Skills/Background Needed
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page-layout skills with sharp attention to detail
• Solid computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Office
• Experience with publishing or multimedia tools is a plus
• Ability to manage deadlines, stay organized, and work effectively within a structured process
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes
• Based in the United States
Preferred Experience
• Ability to understand technical subject matter and convert it into clear, accessible documentation
• Familiarity with style guides and structured authoring practices
• Knowledge of documentation workflows and file management systems
• Experience with HTML, XML, or web-authoring tools
• Coursework or project experience in desktop publishing or multimedia production
• School or project experience with version control systems or development tools
