About the role:
We’re looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to join our team. You’ll develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation that supports IT and engineering operations. This is a great opportunity to build your writing career while working on meaningful projects in a professional environment.
What you’ll do:
• Create and edit technical documentation including manuals, procedures, and training materials
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work with engineers and team members to gather and validate technical information
• Maintain organized documentation and support version control
• Support documentation reviews, updates, and compliance requirements
• Handle multiple documentation projects at the same time
Skills/background needed:
Required:
• 1–3 years of experience in technical writing, communications, IT, or a related field (or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience creating and editing technical documentation
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and similar office tools
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Preferred:
• Experience with documentation management and version control processes
• Familiarity with IT service or systems documentation
Security clearance:
You must be eligible to obtain a security clearance. This role requires US citizenship and the ability to pass a security investigation.
Contract length: Contingent on contract award
