About the role:
You’ll create clear, user-friendly documentation that helps people understand and use software products. This is a fully remote position where you’ll work with product teams to turn complex technical information into guides, manuals, tutorials, and help resources that users can actually follow.
What you’ll be doing:
• Writing, editing, and updating user-facing documentation including installation guides, user manuals, release notes, and tutorials
• Collaborating with software engineers, product managers, and team members to understand product features and technical workflows
• Choosing the right format for each piece of content—whether that’s written guides, video tutorials, or interactive walkthroughs
• Testing product features hands-on to ensure your documentation matches what users actually experience
• Revising documentation based on product updates, customer feedback, and team reviews
• Using content creation and documentation tools to author and publish your work
• Coordinating across teams to ensure documentation is ready when products launch

Clear documentation helps users get started faster and reduces frustration. Your work directly improves how people experience products, reduces support requests, and helps teams launch more smoothly. You’ll establish documentation patterns that other writers can follow, raising quality across the entire product line.
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing and editing skills with fluency in English
• Ability to learn complex software products quickly by working with engineers, testing features, and gathering information from multiple sources
• Comfort managing multiple projects with different deadlines and technical levels
• Experience with content management systems or structured documentation tools (or willingness to learn)
• Attention to detail and consistency in terminology and instructions
• Ability to ask clarifying questions and push back constructively when something isn’t clear
• A background in technical writing, communications, English, or a related field is helpful but not required—we provide full training for the right candidate
