Job Title: Legal Brief Writer

Position Overview
We are seeking an entry-level legal professional to join our litigation team. You will work fully remotely and receive direct mentorship from experienced attorneys. No prior legal experience is required—we provide full training and support as you develop your skills in legal research and writing.
The primary focus of this role is legal research and drafting, with an emphasis on civil rights and education law briefing. You will produce high-quality written work under clear direction and develop strong analytical and writing abilities through hands-on practice and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on civil rights and education law litigation issues
- Draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
- Revise and refine legal drafts based on feedback from supervising attorneys
- Assist with case preparation, including review of records and legal authorities
- Support the litigation team on assigned matters
Skills/background needed:
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Strong interest in education and civil rights law
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and incorporate feedback
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines
Preferred experience:
- Legal writing experience, such as law review or journal contributions
- Moot court or appellate advocacy experience
- Familiarity with federal court practice and briefing standards
- Recent bar examination completion or candidacy
