The Role
As a Bilingual Customer Support Agent, you will have the rewarding opportunity to help Spanish or French and English-speaking members through enrollment processes and updates to their plans via phone, chat, and messaging. We allow you the freedom to take the time necessary to provide excellent service on each contact. You will spend your day supporting customers in a fully remote work environment following an initial training period. Full training is provided—no prior experience required.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Seasonal role with potential to move into a permanent, full-time position based on performance.
Hours: 40-hour work week during peak season; hours may vary between 32–40 hours during initial training and off-season periods. Overtime may be requested during busy periods.
Location: Open to applicants worldwide (within 2 hours of an office location for occasional in-person visits if needed).
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to Spanish or French-speaking customers with compassion and respect, meeting their needs through phone, email, and instant message
• Customize your service approach to work with different communication styles while staying professional and calm during difficult conversations
• Protect confidential information (medical, financial, personal) with sensitivity and discretion, following privacy and data security requirements
• Translate complex plan information into simple, clear explanations customers can understand and act on
• Read and understand plan documents and online resources to identify customer needs and anticipate future questions
• Follow company and client procedures and guidelines, providing accurate information consistently
• Document complete and accurate notes in English in a professional manner
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
• Communicate and collaborate respectfully with colleagues, supervisors, and staff
• Spend the majority of your time assisting customers
Skills/background needed:
Required:
• Excellent Spanish or French language skills
• Ability to move seamlessly between Spanish or French and English calls and take notes in English
• Ability to quickly understand customer concerns and think through solutions
• Ability to follow a work schedule, breaks, and protocols with a focus on quality
• Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and managing multiple computer windows while on calls or messaging
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated in a remote environment
• Comfortable with online training and communicating with supervisors via team chat
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Typing speed of 30 words per minute
• Customer service experience (we provide full training for entry-level candidates)
• High School diploma or equivalent
Nice to have:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of health benefits or pension plans
