About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Medical Editor to join our remote team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of medical communications content across a variety of formats. This is a great opportunity to develop your editing skills in the healthcare and medical writing field.
What You’ll Do
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Fact-check, edit, and proofread medical communications materials such as presentations, meeting materials, video scripts, and websites• Review layouts and digital files for accuracy and completeness• Ensure reference lists are accurate and complete• Handle copyright permissions requests and communicate with relevant teams• Submit completed work through the content management system• Serve as a go-to resource for style, grammar, and usage questions• Create and maintain style guides to ensure consistency across projects• Collaborate with team members across different departments to ensure content accuracy• Assist colleagues with editorial problem-solving and brainstorming• Attend project meetings to stay informed about ongoing work
Skills/Background Needed
• Bachelor’s degree in any field (science or English degrees are a plus)• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment• Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and writing style• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and PDF files• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Desire to learn and develop professionally• Familiarity with medical writing style guidelines and promotional regulations is helpful but not required• Previous experience with content management systems is a bonus, but training will be provided
