We’re looking for a Multimedia Journalist to join our newsroom. In this role, you’ll report on stories, shoot and edit video content, develop story ideas and sources, and produce content across multiple platforms including web, social media, and broadcast.
What you’ll be doing:
• Reporting, shooting, and editing news stories for daily publication
• Developing and pitching story ideas
• Building and maintaining source relationships
• Producing content optimized for web, social media, and television
• Working independently to meet daily deadlines
Skills/background needed:
• Strong news judgment and storytelling ability
• Ability to shoot and edit video content
• Experience or willingness to learn live broadcast techniques
• Comfortable working independently
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of reporting experience is required. Experience with live broadcast reporting is preferred.
