We’re looking for a Multimedia Journalist to join our newsroom. In this role, you’ll report on stories, shoot and edit news content, develop story ideas and contacts, and produce daily content across multiple platforms including web, social media, and broadcast.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Multimedia Journalist, you will work across multiple platforms to create engaging news stories. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reporting, shooting and editing content, pitching story ideas, building and maintaining news contacts, and adapting stories for different formats and audiences. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, and may be assigned other duties as needed.
Skills/background needed:
We’re looking for someone with strong news judgment and the ability to tell compelling visual stories. You should be comfortable with video editing and production equipment, able to work independently, and have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Experience with live broadcast segments is required. While prior journalism experience is preferred, full training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent
