We’re looking for an enthusiastic entry-level Multimedia Journalist to create compelling stories across multiple platforms. In this role, you’ll research, shoot, write, and edit content that resonates with audiences. You’ll work on breaking news and feature stories in a fast-paced newsroom environment, developing your skills across video, photography, and broadcast journalism.
What you’ll do:
• Evaluate news leads and develop story ideas
• Gather and verify information through interviews, observation, and research
• Write stories according to editorial standards and style guidelines
• Shoot video and still photos to illustrate stories
• Edit videos for multiple platforms
• Conduct taped interviews and on-location reporting
• Collaborate with photographers and newsroom staff
• Assist in preparing newscasts and multimedia content
• Post content to websites and digital platforms
What you’ll need:
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfort with newsroom computer systems and software
• Willingness to learn videography and video editing
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
• Self-motivated and reliable
