We are seeking an entry-level Multimedia Journalist to join our newsroom. In this role, you will report on news stories, shoot and edit video content, develop story ideas, and build contacts within your community. You will produce content daily across multiple platforms including our website, social media channels, and broadcast outlets.
This is a full-time, on-site position. No prior journalism experience is required—we provide full training on all technical and editorial skills needed to succeed.
Responsibilities:
• Report, film, and edit news stories for broadcast and digital platforms
• Develop and pitch story ideas
• Build and maintain sources and community contacts
• Produce daily content across website, social media, and television
• Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Skills/background needed:
• Strong news judgment and curiosity about current events
• Ability to learn technical skills quickly
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• A journalism degree is preferred but not required
• A portfolio or demo reel of your work is helpful (if available)
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, ongoing position.
