We’re looking for a dynamic multimedia journalist who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-platform newsroom. This role combines on-air presenting with multimedia reporting, offering the chance to develop skills across multiple formats and platforms.
You’ll co-anchor assigned newscasts, report as a multimedia journalist between broadcasts, and occasionally contribute to newscast production. This is a fully remote position that welcomes entry-level candidates with a passion for storytelling.
What you’ll do
Present assigned newscasts with clear, confident delivery
Collaborate with co-hosts and producers to shape story presentation and rundowns
Conduct live interviews and report on breaking news
Shoot, write, and edit daily news stories for broadcast and digital audiences
Develop story ideas relevant to your assigned regions
Build and maintain source relationships to generate original content
Post stories, videos, and updates across the organisation’s website and social media platforms
Help produce assigned newscast segments when needed
Write and edit scripts, headlines, and on-air copy for clarity and impact
Ensure all content meets editorial standards for accuracy and fairness
What you’ll bring
A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred, but strong portfolio work and relevant internship experience may be considered
1–3 years of experience in television news, or entry-level candidates with strong internships
Confident on-air presence and live reporting skills
Ability to shoot and edit video
Strong writing skills for both broadcast and digital platforms
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Comfort working across multiple digital and social media platforms to tell stories in different formats
Nice to have
Experience in a small to mid-sized newsroom
Active presence on social media
Bilingual capabilities
