Roles: As a Multimedia Journalist, you’ll research, develop, and produce accurate, timely, and engaging news and public information content. You’ll create written stories, photography, video, and digital content for various communication platforms. Your reporting will cover a wide range of topics including government, public safety, culture, health, education, economic development, and community issues.
What you’ll do: Working under the direction of a senior communications leader, you’ll work on multimedia storytelling projects that inform the public through professional journalism. You’ll develop skills across multiple formats—writing, photography, videography, and digital content creation. This role supports transparency and public information initiatives while preserving stories and accomplishments through quality multimedia work.
Skills/background needed: No prior journalism experience required. You should have a genuine interest in storytelling, news, and multimedia content creation. Basic familiarity with photography, video recording, or writing is helpful but not essential—full training will be provided. Strong attention to accuracy and detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
