What You’ll Do
Your work will drive local conversations through original news stories. Each day will be unique and unpredictable, but you can expect tasks including:
• Engage with viewer concerns and respond to community feedback
• Monitor social media and the internet for newsworthy issues
• Research, write, and edit news stories for television newscasts and digital platforms
• Conduct interviews and shoot news content
• Report on stories assigned by managers and generate original story ideas
• Edit video, audio, and graphics into cohesive news packages

Skills/Background Needed
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with computers and editing software
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Fluent in English
• At least 18 years old
• Unrestricted work authorization
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
