About the role
We’re looking for an organised, detail-minded person to join our team in a Prepared Foods ordering and inventory role. You’ll be responsible for purchasing and replenishing food products, monitoring stock levels, and working with our kitchen team to ensure we have what we need when we need it. No prior experience in this area is required – we’ll provide full training on all systems and procedures.
What you’ll be doing
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Ordering and replenishing prepared food products using proper buying procedures
• Monitoring inventory reports and processing purchase orders accurately and on time
• Helping to reduce waste and spoilage by controlling stock levels
• Completing required worksheets (spoilage, temperature checks, inventory counts)
• Assisting with food preparation and counter service when needed
• Communicating with kitchen and team leadership about ordering needs
• Building positive working relationships with suppliers
• Supporting special customer orders
• Maintaining pricing accuracy and helping with merchandising displays
• Ensuring the work area stays clean, safe, and hygienic at all times
• Helping with opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned
• Providing friendly, helpful customer service
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have:
• Basic maths skills
• Comfort using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn about food products and nutrition
• Ability to follow procedures and manage your time well
• A positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability and a strong work ethic

Physical requirements
This is an in-person, full-time role based at our workplace. You’ll need to be able to:
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for 6–8 hours during an 8-hour shift
• Bend, twist, squat, and reach as part of daily tasks
• Work in both wet and dry conditions
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Handle tools and equipment safely, including knives and box cutters
