As a Proposal Writer, you will coordinate the full life cycle of proposal development, organization, and production. You will review requests for proposals to identify and interpret requirements and help our team pursue qualifying projects, bringing strong writing skills to every pursuit. No prior experience is necessary – full training will be provided.
About the Role
This is a full-time position based in a collaborative marketing environment. You will work with a supportive team to develop compelling proposals, manage project information, and ensure all materials meet quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Proposal Development & Production
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of proposal development, organization, and production
- Review requests for proposals to identify requirements and help pursue qualifying projects
- Research and gather materials and information needed to develop responsive, compelling proposals
- Provide writing, editing, production, and document management support throughout each project
- Design and produce proposals using industry-standard design software
- Support the preparation of presentation and interview materials
- Assist with evaluations to help prioritize opportunities
- Develop and track project calendars, ensuring on-time delivery of all proposal components
- Coordinate with team members and partners to gather and integrate content
- Support proposal development and tailoring of narratives to client priorities
Content & Resource Management
- Work with the marketing team to prepare and maintain a library of project descriptions and staff information
- Develop and maintain proposal templates, graphics, and content to ensure consistency
- Coordinate with team members to gather accurate, current project information
Professional Development
- Maintain and expand professional capabilities through training and industry involvement
Skills/background needed: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with design software such as Adobe InDesign is helpful but not required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent experience is preferred but not essential for entry-level applicants.
