About this role:
We’re looking for a Proposal Writer to join our team on a fully remote basis. You’ll develop compelling, compliant proposal content for government solicitations and help advance our standards for proposal quality and processes. What you’ll do:
• Lead the development of proposal content across technical, management, transition, and staffing sections
• Work with internal teams and subject matter experts to understand project approaches and key themes
• Coordinate writing assignments across multiple authors and ensure consistency in voice and compliance
• Conduct interviews with technical experts and translate complex concepts into clear, customer-focused writing
• Create annotated outlines and response mockups to guide proposal development
• Perform compliance reviews to identify gaps and strengthen proposal sections
• Participate in review cycles and incorporate feedback to enhance quality
• Manage multiple simultaneous assignments and meet critical deadlines
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or IT preferred)
• Experience leading proposal sections such as Executive Summaries, Technical, Management, Transition, and Past Performance
• Experience working with government or large-scale organizational proposals
• Strong ability to organize, manage, and collaborate with multiple team members
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
• Experience creating annotated outlines and proposal response mockups
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during proposal cycles
Preferred experience:
• Proposal management certification or equivalent training
• Familiarity with AI-based writing and content development tools
• Experience supporting technical teams in articulating complex approaches
