We’re looking for an SEO Content Writer to join our team on a fully remote basis. You’ll take ownership of content creation, quality control, and the day-to-day execution of our website content strategy. This role involves working with freelance writers, building scalable content systems, developing blog posts and landing pages, and monitoring performance to drive measurable organic growth.
While search engine optimization is a primary focus, you’ll also support broader marketing performance by strengthening landing page quality, improving engagement, and enhancing conversion-driven content across channels.
This is a highly execution-focused role with an emphasis on organization, quality control, and consistency. You’ll work from home with full flexibility and receive comprehensive training to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Content Production & Writer Management (~40%)
Develop content calendars and detailed content briefs aligned with SEO strategy. Manage freelance writers and content contributors, providing constructive feedback to improve performance. Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure brand voice alignment, SEO compliance, formatting consistency, and internal linking standards. Write blog content, landing pages, and promotional pages as needed. Create and refine templates for various content types.
SEO Execution (~35%)
Conduct keyword research to identify new content and optimization opportunities. Implement meta titles, descriptions, headers, and internal linking strategies. Analyze search results to ensure content aligns with search intent. Optimize content for featured snippets and other search features. Structure pages to improve performance in modern search experiences. Add image alt text and refine on-page formatting. Execute redirects and content consolidation strategies. Support local business profile updates. Implement structured data markup. Identify and flag basic technical SEO issues.
Publishing & Content Updates (~10%)
Publish content in the content management system. Monitor channel-specific content requests and support cross-channel initiatives requiring content updates or adjustments.
Performance Monitoring (~5%)
Monitor landing page traffic and performance metrics. Track blog and hub page performance. Identify underperforming content and recommend refreshes or consolidation.
Strategy & Documentation (~5%)
Conduct competitor content analysis. Identify ranking gaps and content expansion opportunities. Manage content workflows and develop process documentation. Maintain industry knowledge by staying current on SEO trends and content best practices.

Skills/Background Needed
2–5 years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or digital content management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content streams and deadlines. Proven experience managing content production workflows and working with freelance writers. Familiarity with modern search trends and answer-first content formats. Comfort working with AI writing assistants to support content creation and workflows. Strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices, including keyword research, search intent, internal linking, and content structure. Experience implementing SEO elements such as meta tags, headers, alt text, and basic structured data. Experience using analytics tools, search console tools, and SEO audit software. Experience using project management tools. Experience providing clear, constructive feedback. Ability to work cross-functionally with SEO, marketing, and web teams. Familiarity with conversion rate best practices.
Nice to Have: Experience with local SEO and business profile optimization. Familiarity with structured data implementation.
