About the role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Assistant to help manage and grow our organization’s social media presence. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to develop real experience in content creation, community engagement, and digital marketing—with full training provided.
Reporting to the social media team lead, you’ll work on a variety of tasks including creating content, scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and attending events to capture photos and videos. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple social media platforms and the chance to develop skills that are in high demand.
What you’ll be doing:
Content Creation & Management
• Create engaging posts, graphics, and short videos for social media platforms
• Schedule content using the team’s content calendar to ensure consistent posting
• Research trending topics and engagement strategies to keep content fresh and relevant
• Maintain a consistent voice and style across all platforms
• Help monitor analytics to understand what content resonates with followers
Community Engagement
• Attend events and programs to capture photos, videos, and stories
• Respond to comments and messages from followers in a timely, friendly way
• Help build community by interacting positively with people online and in person
Team Collaboration
• Work closely with the social media team to align messaging and strategy
• Communicate regularly with supervisors about progress and ideas
• Be a helpful problem-solver and support team members when needed
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
• No prior experience necessary—we provide full training
• Comfortable using social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
• Basic design and editing skills (or willingness to learn)
• Friendly, professional communication style
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
Experience with content creation tools, graphic design software, or social media analytics is helpful but not required. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
