Role Overview
We’re looking for an entry-level Social Media Associate to join our team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you’ll manage our social media communities, monitor conversations for insights, and deliver performance reports that help shape our content strategy. You’ll protect our brand reputation, strengthen customer relationships, and uncover the insights that drive our organic and paid social strategies.
What You’ll Do
Community Management:
• Monitor and engage with our social media communities across platforms daily, including comments, direct messages, mentions, and tags
• Build and implement strategies to grow audience engagement while keeping our brand voice consistent
• Respond to community questions and feedback promptly and professionally
• Forward product or service-related questions to the right team members and track their responses
• Identify emerging trends and content opportunities from media coverage and community conversations
• Support the team’s social media moderation and crisis management processes
• Monitor compliance with our social media guidelines and flag any brand risk
Social Listening:
• Monitor social media conversations to surface insights for marketing, sales, product, and analytics teams
• Build and maintain listening queries to ensure we’re capturing accurate, high-quality data
• Work with the team to connect listening insights to our content strategy
Reporting and Insights:
• Track and analyze community engagement metrics to improve our strategy
• Monitor organic social content performance and recommend optimizations
• Analyze paid social campaign performance to inform future planning
• Develop and maintain a consistent reporting schedule: weekly team updates, monthly reports, and quarterly reviews
Cross-Functional Work:
• Share platform updates and emerging trends with the team to keep strategies current
• Support the broader social media team with organic and paid social projects as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in social media, customer service, communications, or a related area
• 1+ years of experience with a social media monitoring or reporting tool
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a customer-focused mindset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Comfort with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at once
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-changing social media environment
• Composure when engaging with challenging public feedback
Nice to Have:
• Experience with project management tools
• Ability to read and write in Spanish or French
