About This Role:
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented entry-level assistant to help manage our social media presence and create engaging digital content. You’ll work with a supportive team to promote programs, celebrate student stories, and increase awareness of departmental initiatives. This is a great opportunity to build real experience in content creation and digital marketing while supporting an inclusive community.
What You’ll Do:
• Create engaging digital content, including graphics, captions, photos, videos, and social media posts using tools like Canva and social media platforms
• Manage and update our department’s digital platforms, ensuring content is timely and responding professionally to messages and comments
• Promote programs and events through social media, email communications, newsletters, and our website
• Attend key programs and events to capture photos and videos
• Collaborate with staff and partners to develop creative outreach strategies and increase engagement
• Support daily office operations, including welcoming visitors and completing administrative tasks
• Attend meetings and training sessions, and complete other duties as assigned
Skills/Background Needed:
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Professionalism and reliability – excellent customer service, punctuality, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Creativity and interest in content creation – experience or strong interest in using Canva, taking photos/videos, and creating social media content
• Organizational abilities – able to manage multiple tasks and keep digital files organized
• Tech-savvy and willing to learn – comfortable with email, social media platforms, and team communication tools
• Must own a smartphone with reliable camera for capturing and posting content
• No prior professional experience required – full training provided

Contract Length: Part-time position
Location: This is an on-site, in-person role based at the workplace.
What We’re Looking For:

About This Position:
This role supports a program dedicated to providing academic resources and career support to first-generation college students. You’ll help amplify student voices and increase awareness of important campus initiatives through engaging digital storytelling. Occasional weekend hours may be required to support events.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be a degree-seeking student enrolled on at least a half-time basis to be eligible for this role.
