Social Media & Content Assistant – Part Time (Entry Level)

About the role:

We’re looking for an organised and creative part-time assistant to help manage our social media channels and create engaging digital content. You’ll support our outreach efforts by designing promotional materials, creating social media posts, and updating our digital platforms. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to develop real skills in content creation and social media management while working with a supportive team.

What you’ll do:

• Create engaging digital content including graphics, captions, photos, and videos using tools like Canva
• Manage and update social media channels, email communications, and the department website
• Respond professionally to messages and comments on digital platforms
• Attend key programmes and events to capture photos and videos
• Collaborate with team members and partners to develop creative content ideas and outreach strategies
• Support daily office operations, including welcoming visitors and completing administrative tasks
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required

Skills/background needed:

No prior experience required – we welcome candidates of all backgrounds and will provide full training. You should have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability and professionalism – excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Interest in or experience with content creation (such as using Canva, taking photos or videos, or social media)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organised
• Willingness to learn and work independently as part of a team
• Comfort with common digital tools like email, team messaging apps, and social media platforms
• A smartphone with reliable photo and video capabilities
• Initiative and creativity – we encourage your ideas and contributions

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Part-time, ongoing.

Location: On-site position.
