We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Associate who lives and breathes social – someone deeply engaged with internet culture, excited to make content, and eager to build their creative instincts and career in social media.
You’ll work closely with our Social Media Manager on the day-to-day execution of our social presence across key platforms. You’ll help keep our channels active and culturally relevant by engaging with our community, spotting emerging trends, supporting social listening and reporting, publishing content, and capturing and creating content yourself.
We’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable organizing a content calendar as they are picking up a phone to film—or stepping in front of the camera themselves. You don’t need to be an expert editor yet, but you should be excited to learn, experiment, and develop your content creation skills. This is an opportunity for someone early in their career to get hands-on experience across the social ecosystem while developing a strong creative and strategic point of view.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation & Capture
Support in creating platform-native content across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Be comfortable getting in front of the camera and appearing in social content.
Capture social-first photo and video content on your phone at events, activations, shoots, and in everyday cultural moments.
Confidently approach and engage people to participate in social content when a concept calls for it.
Develop your instincts for strong social-first content, including hooks, framing, pacing, storytelling, and editing.
Experiment with platform features, trending formats, sounds, and editing styles, proactively pitching ideas that feel relevant.
Edit short-form video using beginner-friendly editing tools, turning raw footage and existing brand assets into engaging, platform-native content.
Contribute ideas during brainstorms and be willing to jump in and help execute ideas—not just identify trends.
Cultural Listening, Insights & Point of View
Stay closely tapped into TikTok, Instagram, emerging platforms, and internet culture, regularly surfacing trends, conversations, creators, and behaviors relevant to our audience.
Go beyond sharing what’s trending by developing a point of view on why something is resonating and whether there’s a relevant opportunity for us.
Monitor conversations around relevant cultural moments to identify emerging themes and opportunities.
Surface community feedback, comments, and social insights that could inspire content or inform the broader team.
Analytics & Optimization
Monitor content performance across our social channels and identify patterns in what’s working, what’s not, and why across hooks, formats, topics, and creative approaches.
Use performance signals and audience response to recommend ways to improve future content.
Support ongoing creative testing, documenting learnings and applying them to future content.
Track weekly performance and support monthly and campaign-level reporting.
Community & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Engage with our social community and surface relevant conversations, feedback, and opportunities for the brand to participate.
Partner with teams across marketing, creative, product, and partnerships to support social content and campaigns.
Support coordination with creators, agencies, and external partners to keep assets, feedback, and deliverables moving.
Bring a social-first and Gen Z perspective to brainstorms, launches, and cultural moments.
Operational Excellence
Help manage the social content calendar and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
Schedule, publish, and quality-check content across platforms.
Keep assets, copy, approvals, and deadlines organized and proactively flag any blockers.
Support the development of creative briefs, toolkits, and other materials for internal and external partners.
Ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ensure content aligns with our visual identity, brand values, and tone of voice.
Skills/background needed:
1–2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, community management, content creation, or a related field (including relevant internships or freelance experience). Candidates with less experience but strong enthusiasm are encouraged to apply—full training will be provided.
You spend a lot of time on TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms and have strong instincts for how people actually communicate on them.
You’re comfortable being on camera and excited to appear in social content when needed.
You’re comfortable picking up a phone and capturing content yourself—you don’t need a formal production setup to make something engaging.
You have experience with short-form video editing or are excited to develop your skills (we’ll teach you).
You’re comfortable approaching and engaging new people and can bring energy to content capture in real-world environments.
You’re interested in internet culture, entertainment, and creators.
You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
You’re a strong writer and curious about understanding what makes content perform.
You’re proactive, collaborative, and excited to develop your creative point of view.
You notice details others might miss and take pride in getting things right before they go live.
Contract length:
Full-time, permanent role.
Rate:
Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Location:
Fully remote—work from home or anywhere you choose. This role requires flexibility to attend events and cultural moments outside of traditional working hours, including some evenings and weekends, and occasional travel.
