Social Media Content Creator – Part Time (Remote)

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands short-form video platforms and internet culture. You’ll work with our team to create authentic, personality-driven content for social media that stops people from scrolling.

This is a part-time remote position, 15–20 hours per week. New hires start with a paid 30-day trial period.

The Kind of Content We’re Building

We want authentic, natural content that feels like it actually belongs on social platforms—not corporate marketing material. Think talking-to-camera videos, real storytelling, authentic conversations, and relatable moments. The best video might literally be someone sitting on their couch sharing a genuine thought. We care far more about the idea, hook, story, personality, and authenticity than perfect production or polished graphics.

What You’ll Do

1. Find and Develop Content Ideas

Spend time where audiences actually spend time—on social platforms, in comments, in online communities. Look for topics people are discussing, questions they keep asking, interesting trends, hooks that work, and video formats worth testing. Your job is to understand what’s working and why—not to copy other creators, but to spot patterns and inspiration.

2. Turn Ideas Into Videos

Each week you’ll help create short-form content by developing video concepts, hooks, short scripts, story ideas, captions, and calls to action. You won’t necessarily edit every video yourself—we have someone for that—but you’ll figure out what to make, what the hook should be, how it should feel, and why someone would actually watch it. Then you’ll work with our editor to bring it to life.

3. Keep Content Moving

You’ll stay organized and track content from idea through creation to posting. Know what’s being created, what’s waiting on editing, what’s ready, and what’s been published. Keep things moving without needing constant check-ins.

4. Find Creators to Collaborate With

You’ll research and reach out to creators whose audiences could be a good fit. Build lists, contact them through social media or email, follow up, and help coordinate collaborations. Size doesn’t matter—a smaller creator with a highly engaged audience often outperforms a much larger account.

5. Track What Actually Works

Pay attention to which content drives real results. Did people click through? Did they try the product? Did they sign up or pay? Help spot patterns. If something works, do more of it. If something isn’t working, change it quickly.

A Normal Week Might Include

Researching trends and content ideas, bringing 10+ strong hooks or concepts, turning the best ideas into 5–10 scripts, finding reference videos, sending scripts to our editor, tracking production progress, ensuring finished content gets posted, finding 10–25 potential creators, reaching out and following up, reading audience comments for new ideas, testing at least one new approach, and sharing a brief update on what worked, what didn’t, and what to try next.

Weekly Check-In

You’ll have one video call each week to discuss what worked, what didn’t, review new ideas, decide what to test next, and make sure you have everything you need. No formal presentations—just a working conversation.

You Might Be Perfect for This If

You actually use these platforms yourself. You understand internet culture and can tell when something feels like an ad. You naturally notice why certain videos work and understand storytelling. You write the way real people actually talk and have a good feel for what seems authentic versus forced. You’re comfortable with AI tools, curious about testing new approaches, and can take an assignment and figure out the steps without needing detailed instructions for everything. When asked to find 20 creators, you can research them, build the list, find contact information, and start reaching out on your own.

This Probably Isn’t the Right Fit If

Your main experience is making branded graphics, Canva templates, corporate posts, or highly produced commercials. If you don’t personally use short-form platforms, need every single step explained, write primarily in marketing language, think all brand videos need to look like advertisements, or only care about follower counts and views, this role may not be the best match. We’re looking for someone with genuine social instincts, good taste, curiosity, and an authentic voice—not necessarily a fancy marketing background. College students, recent graduates, freelancers, creators, and early-career professionals are welcome. Show us you understand authentic content.

What You’ll Need

No prior professional experience required. Full training will be provided. You should be comfortable with short-form video platforms, able to work independently, and willing to learn AI tools. Familiarity with creating or editing video is helpful but not essential—what matters most is your instinct for what resonates with audiences.
