The Role: Visual Storyteller
As our part-time Content Creator, you will be responsible for capturing, curating, and sharing diverse stories across various digital platforms. Your mission is to connect our community and showcase authentic moments through compelling visual content. This is a contractor position, averaging 5 hours weekly (approximately 20 hours monthly), split between on-site content capture and remote editing and scheduling.
Core Responsibilities
• Content Capture: Proactively capture high-quality photo and video content during training sessions, activities, and on-site events
• Storytelling: Develop compelling short-form narratives, captions, and posts that tell authentic stories
• Social Media Management: Post content regularly and consistently across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter). Monitor engagement and trends to maximise reach
• Event Coverage: Attend and cover on-site events and activities (daytime availability required, at least one day per week)
• Editing and Production: Edit photos and videos into engaging, polished content suitable for social media distribution
• Community Features: Help create features and spotlights to inspire and celebrate community members
Skills/background needed: A passion for visual storytelling and a portfolio demonstrating your ability to create engaging content. Strong interest in sports. Proven experience creating content for social media accounts, with familiarity of current platform trends and best practices. Reliable daytime availability to cover events at least one day per week. Ability to work independently and build rapport with people quickly. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, consistent content. You must own and be able to skillfully operate personal, high-quality photo and video equipment (including a high-end mobile device).
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Ongoing part-time contractor role.
Location: Hybrid (on-site event coverage + remote editing and scheduling).
