About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join our team and help build engaging content that connects with audiences across digital platforms. You’ll create, capture, and publish compelling photos, videos, graphics, and written content that brings stories to life and builds community.
As our primary content creator, you’ll produce platform-specific content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms. No prior professional experience needed – we provide full training and support as you develop your skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
Content Creation & Production
• Create and publish engaging social media content across multiple platforms
• Produce photography, videography, graphics, and written content optimized for each platform
• Capture content during events, programs, and behind-the-scenes experiences
• Edit photos and videos for social media using common editing tools
• Manage the social media content calendar and schedule posts
Community Engagement
• Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across social channels
• Engage with followers in a professional and friendly manner
• Foster positive online community interaction
• Provide live social media coverage of events and programmes
Analytics & Collaboration
• Track social media performance and audience growth
• Provide regular reporting on content performance
• Partner with team members to identify content opportunities
• Support broader communications initiatives through social media
Skills/background needed:
• Enthusiasm for content creation and social media
• Strong storytelling and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfort working with common content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Suite alternatives, or similar software
• Understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with different teams
• Entry-level candidates welcome – training provided
Preferred Skills
• Experience with social media analytics
• Portfolio showing previous social media or content creation work
• Background in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
• Passion for education and community engagement
Contract length: Full-time, permanent
