Roles: You will create and manage social media content and website updates for an academic department. You’ll write articles, design tutorials, create social media posts, and maintain the visual design of a student resource website. This is a great entry-level opportunity to build your portfolio in a real-world setting.
What you’ll do:
Create engaging social media posts that showcase student work and departmental events
Write original articles, tutorials, and stories for a student resource website, with accompanying visuals
Make regular design updates and improvements to the website
Work closely with faculty and course assistants to understand departmental needs
Skills/background needed: No prior professional experience required. You should have a genuine interest in social media, design, and content creation. Familiarity with social platforms like Instagram is helpful but not essential—full training will be provided. Basic design knowledge or a willingness to learn is a plus.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: 10 weeks, approximately 4 hours per week.
Location: Fully remote—work from anywhere with internet access.
