Social Media Manager – Community Engagement, Entry Level

Role Summary:

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to help build community connections and drive engagement across our digital channels. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work both online and in-person to foster relationships, spark conversations, and connect with customers in meaningful ways.

Your mission is to be the bridge between our digital presence and real-world community. You’ll engage people on social platforms, build relationships with local contacts, and help turn online interest into meaningful interactions. What You’ll Do:

Community Engagement & Outreach

Reach out to and build relationships with local community members, professionals, and customers using social media as your primary tool

Engage with community groups and local platforms to spark conversations and encourage participation

Maintain an active, visible presence by connecting with people online and attending local events and gatherings

Track and log all interactions and opportunities to keep the team informed

Report on your monthly engagement, outreach efforts, and the connections you’ve made

Explore new platforms and communities where your audience spends time, and identify potential partnerships

Social Media Content & Growth

Work with our content team to find and share local stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and updates that resonate with your audience

Create thoughtful, engaging posts on Instagram and LinkedIn that encourage followers to connect with us

Use hashtags, location tags, and platform features to increase visibility and reach the right people

Events & Local Partnerships

Help plan and promote local events, workshops, and community gatherings

Work with the team to launch partnerships and collaborations that build our presence in the community

Support local initiatives and events that strengthen relationships with customers and partners

Skills & Background Needed:

Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) and basic social management tools

Comfort with relationship-building and networking – both online and in person

Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to adapt your tone for different audiences and platforms

Familiarity with basic CRM systems or tools for tracking interactions

Enthusiasm for community engagement and genuine interest in connecting with people

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A passion for learning and growing in the role

Nice to Have:

Prior experience with community management or local marketing

Background in retail, customer service, or relationship-focused roles

Interest in design, interiors, or home improvement

Experience coordinating events or partnerships

Work Environment:
