About the role
We’re looking for an entry-level Social Media Manager to help manage and grow our organization’s social media presence. You’ll be the primary person responsible for scheduling posts, creating content, and building genuine relationships with our audience across social platforms.
This is a fully remote position perfect for someone who loves social media, wants to develop their skills, and is ready to represent an organization’s voice online.
What you’ll do
• Manage and post content across all organizational social media accounts daily• Respond to messages, comments, tags, and mentions from our audience• Work with team members to plan, create, and execute social media content including graphics, video, and written posts• Research trending topics and community conversations relevant to our field• Create and edit short-form video content for social platforms• Collaborate with designers, photographers, and writers to bring campaign ideas to life• Help coordinate content coverage for events and announcements• Assist colleagues across the organization with social media support as needed• Monitor and report on social media performance and engagement
Skills/background needed:
Required:• Strong organizational and time-management skills• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines• Attention to detail• Eagerness to learn and grow in social media marketing• Comfort working collaboratively with a team• Familiarity with basic video editing tools (or willingness to learn)• Interest in learning graphic design basicsPreferred:• Previous experience managing social media accounts• Knowledge of social media content creation best practices• Familiarity with design software or design fundamentals• Background in marketing, communications, or related field
