Social Media & Marketing Assistant – Part Time (Entry Level)

About this role:

We’re looking for a creative, organised, and detail-oriented part-time Marketing Assistant to support marketing efforts for performing arts events and programming. You’ll work closely with the marketing team to increase awareness of performances, drive ticket sales, grow audience engagement, and strengthen digital presence.

This position provides hands-on experience in arts marketing, digital marketing, social media management, email campaigns, audience development, and marketing analytics. No prior experience is necessary — full training will be provided.

What you’ll do:

• Support marketing campaigns by coordinating timelines, promotional materials, email campaigns, social media posts, and digital advertising
• Schedule, upload, and send content across social media, email, print, and digital advertising channels
• Assist with audience development and ticket sales efforts through targeted promotions and community outreach
• Track and report marketing performance by collecting data from email, social media, advertising, and website platforms
• Maintain marketing organisation by updating campaign calendars, coordinating marketing assets, and ensuring tasks are completed on deadline
• Provide general marketing and event support for special events and other projects as assigned

Skills/background needed:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team
• Experience with digital content and marketing projects across social media platforms and email platforms (or willingness to learn)
• Familiarity with project tracking tools, shared drives, and basic office software such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Office
• Experience communicating with marketing vendors and partners is a plus

Rate:

Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length:

Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
