We’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our team. You’ll develop and execute social media plans and campaigns that support our organization’s priorities while maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone across all platforms.
Success in this position means being self-motivated, exercising independent judgment in content planning, audience engagement, and analyzing how our social media performs. No prior experience required—we’ll provide full training and support as you grow into the role.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and execute strategic social media plans and campaigns aligned with our priorities and mission• Manage social media communications during organizational events, advocacy initiatives, and emerging issues• Maintain a unified brand, voice, and tone across all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter• Advise leadership and staff on best practices, emerging trends, and digital communication opportunities• Analyze social media data and audience insights to develop recommendations that influence communication strategies• Create and edit social media content within established brand guidelines, exercising discretion in content selection, timing, and messaging• Respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments in a timely manner• Collaborate with team members to identify communication priorities and develop integrated digital communication strategies• Represent the organization at events as media personnel• Assist with proofreading and research on assigned topics• Perform other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus but not required• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms• Strong communication and writing skills• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment• A proactive mindset and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues• Willingness to occasionally travel within the state for events• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed• Valid driver’s license
Role: Full-time, on-site position
