About the role:
We’re looking for a creative and organized Social Media Specialist to join our team. You’ll take ownership of our social media channels, create engaging content, and help build our online community. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone passionate about digital storytelling and social media strategy.
You’ll work with a collaborative team, develop content strategies for diverse audiences, and help tell compelling stories across multiple platforms. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training and support to help you succeed.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and execute social media strategies across assigned channels
• Create engaging photo, video, and written content tailored to each platform
• Build relationships with team members and stakeholders to identify story opportunities
• Plan and manage both organic and paid social media campaigns
• Monitor social conversations, engage with communities, and respond to comments and messages
• Track performance metrics and use insights to improve content and strategy
• Stay current with emerging platforms, trends, and best practices
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure brand consistency
• Develop and maintain content calendars for organized, timely posting
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in social media management (or equivalent practical experience)
• Familiarity with major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create or curate engaging visual and written content
• Comfortable working with data and analyzing performance metrics
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse teams
• Attention to detail and brand consistency
• Experience in healthcare or higher education marketing is a plus, but not required

Work schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with flexibility for evening and weekend coverage as needed.
