About the role
We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our communications team. You’ll help develop and share engaging content across social media platforms, connect with our community, and tell compelling stories that showcase the work and achievements happening within our organization.
This is a great entry-level opportunity to build real-world experience in social media management, content creation, and digital communications in a supportive team environment.
What you’ll do
Content Creation & Strategy
Write and create engaging content for multiple social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Monitor calendars and events to ensure timely promotion of activities. Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to keep our communications fresh and relevant. You’ll work closely with our team to align social media activity with our broader goals.
Community Engagement
Grow and manage our social media audience. Monitor platforms for trends and community feedback. Respond to comments and messages professionally and promptly to build positive relationships with our community. Track and analyze social media performance to understand what’s working and identify opportunities for improvement.
Brand Development
Work with team members to understand our organizational identity, including logos, imagery, and brand colours. Collaborate with designers to create and refine brand materials. Help organize and share these resources with stakeholders across the organization. Use design tools to make brand packages accessible to all team members.
Training & Support
Provide guidance and training to staff members involved in content creation. Help team members understand brand guidelines and best practices. Support colleagues in identifying and sharing compelling stories. Track performance across different areas and help improve our overall approach.

What we’re looking for

Most importantly, you should be reliable, professional, and committed to understanding our mission and values.
Tools you’ll use
Canva, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail, and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. Experience with Adobe is a bonus but not required.
