About the role:
We’re looking for an entry-level sports content creator to produce engaging sports stories and reports across multiple platforms. You’ll write, shoot, edit, and present sports content in a way that’s clear, engaging, and meaningful to audiences. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop real skills in journalism, video production, and social media engagement.
What you’ll do:
• Write and deliver sports stories across all platforms in a clear, concise manner
• Shoot, set up, compose, and edit video content for reports and shows
• Maintain and operate video equipment
• Research, fact-check, and coordinate sports programming and related content
• Respond to breaking news and urgent situations as they arise
• Collaborate with the wider team to develop comprehensive sports coverage
• Interact with viewers and audiences on social media
• Develop and produce content for streaming platforms
• Participate in promotional activities and public appearances
• Support other team members and take on additional projects as needed
Skills/background needed:
• A degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Strong knowledge and genuine interest in sports
• Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking on camera and ad-libbing when needed
• Basic proficiency with computers, office equipment, and video editing software
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple assignments
• Strong listening and teamwork skills
• Flexible availability, including ability to work various shifts
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Familiarity with streaming platforms and social media is a plus
