We’re looking for a technical editor to join our editing team. You’ll collaborate with writers, designers, and subject matter experts to develop a wide variety of content, from webpages and articles to presentations and technical documents. Your role will ensure all content is clear, accurate, grammatically correct, and consistent with established style guidelines.
A typical day might include:
Copyediting or proofreading webpages, emails, technical papers, presentations, or other materials to meet grammar, punctuation, and style standards.
Collaborating with subject matter experts, designers, and writers to ensure content is accurate, clear, and well-structured.
Rewriting content to align with established tone, voice, and organizational goals.
Working with other editors to meet deadlines and maintain consistency across projects.
This role is for you if you have:
Advanced proofreading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to receive and incorporate feedback constructively.
A willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
It’s a plus if you have:
Experience editing technical documentation or content for engineering or technology companies.
Familiarity with desktop publishing or design software.
Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style or similar style guides.
