About This Role
We are seeking an entry-level Technical Writer with an interest in architectural systems and building design to join our growing team. This is an on-site position based at our workplace location.
Position Overview
You will develop technical specifications and design documentation for commercial building projects. Working closely with project managers and field teams, you will prepare clear, accurate construction documents and system specifications that meet industry standards. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment where you will contribute to real-world projects while learning from experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop project-specific technical specifications and construction details
· Prepare bid and construction documents using provided templates and guidelines
· Collaborate with field personnel to ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation
· Review, update and maintain the company’s library of technical specifications based on industry changes and client requirements
· Work with experienced team members to learn industry best practices and share knowledge
Skills/background needed
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
· Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
· Organisational abilities and ability to manage multiple documents
· Eagerness to learn commercial building systems and industry standards
· Ability to work collaboratively with team members
