You will develop clear, comprehensive documentation that guides the selection and installation of building materials and systems. This role involves collaborating with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure all specifications meet industry standards and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and develop detailed technical specifications for construction projects
• Work with architects, project managers, and contractors to understand project requirements
• Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and products
• Review and update specifications to ensure they meet current building codes and industry standards
• Provide technical input on design details and material performance
• Keep up to date with industry trends, codes, and standards
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
• Answer technical questions during the bidding and construction phases
• Ensure all specifications are clear, accurate, and meet quality standards
Skills/background needed:
• Writing experience in a technical field or ability to learn quickly
• Strong understanding of building materials and construction methods, or willingness to develop this knowledge
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations (training provided)
