We’re seeking an organized, detail-oriented Technical Writer and Instructor to develop and deliver cybersecurity training content. You’ll create course materials, lesson plans, and training resources—then bring them to life through virtual and in-person instruction.
This role combines writing and teaching: you’ll develop comprehensive training documentation and deliver engaging instruction to diverse student groups. You’ll maintain course materials, gather feedback for continuous improvement, and ensure all training meets current industry standards.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, update, and maintain cybersecurity training materials and lesson plans
- Deliver classroom and virtual instruction to groups of up to 20 students
- Create performance-based tests and evaluation materials
- Review and recommend updates to course content based on emerging technology
- Collect and incorporate student feedback to improve training quality
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance documentation
- Support both remote and on-site training operations
- Manage lab and classroom materials and equipment
- Work closely with supervisors and coordinators on scheduling and content alignment
What we’re looking for:
- U.S. Citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance (required at start)
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) or equivalent teaching qualification (must be current within 5 years)
- 4+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field
- At least one active professional certification such as: CISSP, CASP+, Security+, Network+, A+, CISM, or related credential
- Proficiency with virtual training platforms and standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email)
- Familiarity with learning management systems and document sharing platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, document, and maintain training records accurately
