Technical Writer – Documentation & Systems (Entry Level)

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team and support the creation of clear, professional documentation for technical systems and procedures. You’ll work with engineers, managers, and other teams to translate complex information into user-friendly guides that help people understand and use technical products and processes.

This is a full-time position. Full training will be provided, and no prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

Writing and editing technical documentation, user guides, instruction manuals, procedures, and training materials

Taking complex technical concepts and presenting them in clear, easy-to-understand language tailored to your audience

Ensuring all documents follow company style, formatting, tone, and accuracy standards

Reviewing drawings, specifications, test results, and other technical information to develop or update documentation

Working with engineers, managers, vendors, and other teams to understand and document technical specifications

Organizing and maintaining documentation libraries and archives

Checking related documents for consistency and accuracy, including managing tables of contents and citations

Reviewing final documents for layout, grammar, and overall quality before they’re shared

Managing document versions and coordinating updates across different editions

Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office tools to create and format content

What You’ll Need

Skills/background needed:

Strong writing and grammar skills

Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to read and understand technical information and explain it to others

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple documents and projects at once

Great communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Location: On-site position available

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application

Contract length: Full-time, ongoing
